Research & Development

Our Research and Development (R & D) team is well- trained in Food Technology and Nutrition. We believe that one of the crucial steps in formulating a product is to engage reliable and accredited suppliers at global level in the search for the right ingredients.

We also work closely with our own Marketing team for insights of the latest market trend in developing our future products. From sourcing to formulating, we routinely perform sensory evaluation on the raw ingredients and finished goods, run focus group and  consumer sensory evaluation to fine-tune the final crafted products.

Quality Assurance

Our Quality Assurance (QA) team safeguards the QUALITY and SAFETY of our products through extensive sampling, laboratory analysis and sensory evaluation on all receiving materials and finished products. The team ensures that all goods have met their specifications and comply with International Food Safety And Quality Standards before they are dispatched to our warehouse team.

With the practice of First In First Out (FIFO), our devoted Warehouse team then release the required ingredients to our Production team for the making of CityCafe products.

The Right Standards

Our men value the importance of meeting the right standards and keeping the consistency of our products. Hence, with strict monitoring on room hygiene level and Critical Control Points throughout the entire process (filling/mixing/blending/packing), you rest assured that all CityCafe Products on the shelves are SAFE and UP TO PAR!

For consistence taste and shelf life, we use fully automated packaging machine and the best protective packaging film for our products. Upon production, we’ll randomly select the finished products for final sensory evaluation* to guarantee product satisfaction.

*Sensory evaluation is a systematic scientific approach of using human five main senses i.e. visual, smell, taste, hearing and touch to evaluate food and drinks. It is usually carried out by a group of trained panelists for in house quality monitoring. Sensory evaluation results will be collected and statistically analyze to determine the significance of the studied parameters.
